Dear Velo-citizens,
Despite our enthusiasm and commitment to hosting a successful and safe conference in September, this will regrettably not be possible under current circumstances. As of today, mass events remain unfortunately banned in Slovenia until January 2021.
Together with our partners, we have therefore decided to postpone the 2020 edition of Velo-city Ljubljana to 14-17 June 2022.
We know this is a big disappointment for the cycling community, especially since it is now a very important time to solidify relationships and to strengthen cooperation within the cycling sector and beyond so that together we can push for the changes we want to see in our countries, cities, and regions across the globe. We were looking forward to sharing experiences, exchanging knowledge, and brainstorming together as cycling is a key to more equal, safe, and resilient societies of the future.
Despite this difficult situation we are already looking forward with excitement towards the Velo-city 2022 Ljubljana edition and are convinced that it will be a truly inspiring and successful cycling event in beautiful Slovenia. Before that we will be welcoming you in Lisbon for the Velo-city 2021 Lisboa edition scheduled to take place on 1-4 June 2021. Preparations have already started, and more information will be available in the coming weeks.
Thank you very much for your engagement, your interest in taking part in the Velo-city conference and your patience. In these turbulent and challenging times, we truly appreciate your support and commitment and we assure you that the Velo-city team is ready to work hard to deliver successful 2021 Lisboa and 2022 Ljubljana conferences.
